Wish I was in Florida!

Kyle and Katie are both in Tampa right now and I'm jealous!!  I've been checking online at pictures and it looks gorgeous down there!   Found Katie in a couple of them.  Hope she doesn't burn.  Kyle was lucky that he was all ready in Florida for work and that they weren't having any tournaments until after the New Year.  He was able to get a room at the same hotel that his girlfriend, Sara and her family, are staying.  His birthday was yesterday-24!!-so he got there in time to celebrate with Sara.

Shelly and I spent some time this morning, shopping for new papers and such for Sweet Tooth and we've found a fun new company that we think we're going to use.  We also just got in our order of papers from Cloud 9 and WER.  Oh and a little cosmo Cricket, too.  Can't wait to get started!

 

Right before christmas it was REALLY cold.  Here was how my animals were dealing with it.  The one of all three of them together is rare indeed.  Usually you won't see Rosie and Millie so close together.  But cold makes you do strange things!!  Millie has a dog dorr and we usually keep the door open for her to go in and out when she wants, but it's getting so worn out that the flap opens too easily, letting in the cold.  So she sits and sits in front of it.  she doesn't need to go out, just wants to.  Deal with it is what I told her! 

And I'll sign off with one last pet picture.  I have thousands-really.  Just ask Jim:)

This is Rosie, trying to hide, after drinking out of the tree stand.  Rosie loves the tree and will be sad when I take it down tomorrow.  Deal with it is what I told her!

Have a very Happy New Year tonight and please stay safe.  We aren't venturing out.  We may catch a movie but Jim feels a need to recover from the craziness of work lately.  He's put in about 80 hours in the last week so I think he's earned his rest!

Merry Christmas!!

Just a day late in my Christmas wishes, but not bad for me!  I'm still getting my "holiday cards" ready for mailing!!  And I wonder why my kids procrastinate so much.

Hope everyone had a fabulous Christmas-we sure did here at the Noesen household.  We started the day with a yummy coffee cake while we waited-and waited-for my oldest to arrive.  Sometimes you have to light a fire under that boy!!  By the time we opened everything, my folks were here.  Even though it's so nice to sleep in on Christmas morning-well, I did-Jim didn't get home from the hospital until 7:00am-I sure miss the excitement that having little ones bring.  I can remember kids in our room at 5:30 in the morning, ready to start!!  The kids were happy with their gifts, especially Molly, who received a new (well, new to her:) ) digital camera.  I found a great one at www.keh.com.  They were very helpful in choosing a good one in my price range.

 

Then one to meal prep.  We were having prime rib-bone in so that Millie could have a bone!-cheesy potatoes, for Molly since she wouldn't be eating the meat, my usual green bean casserole and rolls, which were gone in about 10 seconds!  Then lots of sitting and visiting.  Overall, a really nice time with family.

Now, off to make some hot chocolate.  It is SO COLD tonight.  I really don't like it.  The thought of my trip to florida in three weeks can't come soon enough!!  Oh and a bonus.  My dear hubby booked us a trip to Vegas before we head to Orlando.  I will be gone for 10 days.  That's a long time.  My dog will be a total basket case by the time we get home.  Can't wait.  I'm thinking lots of books to read and I've been dying to cross stitch again.  Needlework will be easier to take than my scrapbook stuff.  If I tried to take my scrapbook supplies, I think Jim would leave me home!!

And if anyone has suggestions for shows in Las Vegas, I would love to hear them.  I definately want to see "O".  I haven't seen it yet and the other Cirque show that I have seen are either dark or sold out while we are there.  I hear that "Love" is good, but I've always wanted to see "O" and I don't know that Jim will want to spend that kind of money twice!!  I don't know if he'll spend it once!!

Okay, hot chocolate-here I come!!

Stranger Things

Well, she's not being allowed to go to the Bowl game after all.  Nor is another one of the senior girls.  Not enough PR points.  I can't believe it.  I'm so sad for her and her friend.  It's really hard for them to get to these public events because of night classes works and other school commitments. Katie is dealing with it pretty well.  She's so sad, and I'm very proud of her.
